Since closing the doors of Pops Culture back in March, I’ve found myself standing at a crossroads. As an individual, my personal growth has been steady and deeply ongoing, especially through this period of transition.

It’s during these moments of waiting and seeking that faith becomes our truest compass. I truly believe God is now clearing the road, illuminating the path He intends for me and for this mission.
POPS has always been about one thing: the relentless pursuit of strength mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We used the powerful medium of sports to instill this foundational mindset. That core purpose remains, but as our culture has grown and matured, so must our voice. It’s time to speak louder and deeper.
The Foundation: From BROH to Principles
We built our house on powerful, meaningful words. Our original foundation was BROH: Bravery, Respect, Optimism, and Honor. These are essential cornerstones of character.
But here is the question: Who wants to be a BROH forever? The answer is no one. We are meant to grow! Life changes, we evolve, and the foundation we build upon must support a much grander structure.
This is why we are embracing the next level: the evolution of our culture into POPS: People of Principles.
If you truly lock down the principles of BROH as your starting point, you don’t stop there. You inevitably begin adding more principles, building a multi-layered identity where you stand firm on a multitude of convictions. This shift is not a change in direction; it is a deepening of our purpose, a commitment to a culture defined by an unshakeable adherence to principle.
Growth: A Mandate from God
The importance of this kind of growth personally, spiritually, and in our mission, is echoed throughout Scripture. It is not optional; it is a necessary part of our journey.
The Bible often uses the metaphor of planting and harvest to illustrate our spiritual and personal development:
Growth is Continuous: The Apostle Peter tells us to be active in our development. We are called to continuously add to our faith, virtue, knowledge, and self-control. It is a process that never truly ends.
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever! Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18
Growth in Business/Mission: Just as a good farmer prepares the soil and expects a return, we must invest our talents and hard work, expecting our efforts to bear fruit for the Kingdom. Our mission must expand to meet the needs of a growing world.
The Parable of the Talents in Matthew 25:14-30 teaches us that we are expected to use what we have been given to create more to grow and multiply the impact.
Our Intertwined Roots
We are all wonderfully different, but at the core, we have enough essential principles in common. We are evolving POPS to be a collective, powerful force. Our individual roots are intertwined, creating a deep, stable network.
We are digging in, committing to the necessary work of growth, and creating a forest of fruit-bearing trees. Each piece of fruit may bear a different taste, reflecting our unique callings and talents, but all are nourished by the same foundation of enduring love and principle.
I am excited to continue seeing what’s next as we grow this forest. Let’s stand together as People of Principles.
